How Ordrestyring.dk got a handle on all its translations with a cheap plugin
About Ordrestyring.dk
Ordrestyring.dk is a simple task management system for tradespeople. It makes their daily work easier by digitising and reducing their administrative workload.
It has been full steam ahead since the beginning in 2011. Today, Ordrestyring.dk has more than 14,000 daily users from almost all trades, from electricians, carpenters, plumbers and painters to locksmiths, landscape gardeners and large-scale contractors.
The company was acquired by the Swedish capital fund Adelis Equity Partners in 2018. The new ownership boosted the international ambitions of Ordrestyring.dk – increasing their need for translations.
The job
Ordrestyring.dk needed their website translated from Danish into English – and it was not as easy as it might sound.
They had regularly been updating their website with new content. And although the website had been translated before, the regular changes meant that the team no longer had any overview of what had and had not been translated.
Besides, the quality of the translations was not always up to scratch, so Ordrestyring.dk decided to have the entire website translated anew.
However, that came with a new challenge: previously, translations had been done manually by copy-pasting the text. However, now that the website had grown considerably and consisted of many subpages, the job would become too laborious.
That was where AdHoc Translations came into the picture.
The solution
Charlotte from Ordrestyring.dk contacted us, and together we found a user-friendly and affordable solution that matched their needs.
By installing the WPML plugin on their WordPress website, we helped Ordrestyring.dk get a handy tool for managing the numerous subpages and translations. We naturally took care of all the technical issues in the process.
The result
With WPML, Charlotte can now easily export all texts that need translating, and with a single click publish the translated pages on the website.
This has turned an otherwise insurmountable task into an easy and quick process that requires little technical skill.
According to Charlotte, keeping track of translations on the website is now a breeze, and she is extremely satisfied with the result:
‘It has been a pleasure working with AdHoc Translations. Right from the start, they have been accommodating and quick to deliver quality work. I give them my highest recommendation!’
Thank you, Charlotte, we appreciate our collaboration with you and the nice words.
